We have an array of Internet development programs aimed at promoting investment in Internet development in Africa.
Celebrating 18 years of AFRINIC: Connecting Africa from idea to reality. The Internet heavily relies on unique number identifiers like Internet Protocol (IP) address space (IPv4 and IPv6) and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) to connect networks and devices. In the early 1990s, assigning IP addresses was managed by a single individual named Jon Postel of late memory, who maintained a list of assigned network addresses using a paper notebook.

This is to alert AFRINIC Resource Members of a misleading email communication from purported representatives of a fictitious organization; targeted at AFRINIC Resource Members (“members”), soliciting them to sign a power of attorney form and surrender their MyAFRINIC portal credentials with them for the purpose of casting a vote for Board Member’s seat. AFRINIC has been a beacon of support for network operators in Africa, offering expert guidance and assistance through its deployment initiatives. Over the past few years, AFRINIC has helped organizations in 32 African countries achieve 377 deployment milestones, thanks to its innovative and effective programs.
